Abstract:
Dr William Mong ( 7 November 1927 – 20 July 2010) established Shun Hing Hong in 1953. He is the Founder of Shun Hing Group, and makes it a point to give back to the society.
Dr Mong may have gathered many accolades over the years but he doesn’t rest on his laurels. In recognition of Dr Mong’s significant contribution to charity and community service, the HKSAR Government awarded Dr Mong the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2006. True to the spirit of give and take, Dr Mong established the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund in 1984. The Fund has donated more than HK$500 million towards projects in Hong Kong and China that benefit education, healthcare, recreation, sports and environmental protection over the years.
