Background: To enable Hong Kong people to participate in international volunteering, Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with UNV as its cooperating organization and the focal point of UNV activities in Hong Kong. The role of AVS is to promote public awareness of the UNV Programme and to facilitate experienced professionals to volunteer of the development for the needy countries and regions.
