Taylor Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was the youngest ever Album of the Year winner of Grammy Awards. Swift is the first and only artist to have three albums sold more than one million copies in a week.
Swift promotes children’s literacy. In 2012, she co-chaired the National Education Association’s Read Across America campaign. She donated money to various schools around the country that she had earlier attended or had other associations with. Swift has also involved with a number of charities which provide service to sick children, such as Stand Up For Cancer telethon, V Foundation for Cancer Research and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her philanthropic efforts include donating money to the victims of natural disasters throughout her career and opposing LGBT discrimination. She also encourages young people to volunteer in their local community.
