Detail: We work with a Project that strives to improve the economic conditions of some of these women. Here the women are trained in sewing and tailoring and produce beautiful bags, dresses and even laptop cases which are then sold in local shops. The money from the sales goes towards the women’s income.
Background: In Tanzania, women are economically weak. Some never received a decent education as often it is just the males in a family who will be schooled when money is tight. Others may lose their husband to HIV/AIDS and not have the skills or training to produce an income which will support their family.
