Detail: The volunteer will assist the local team in planting trees in the Njoro Juu Spring which provides water to much of Moshi town. The volunteer may also visit rural villages to plant trees and protect water sources. Other duties may include helping in the nursery. Volunteers will also learn how to make paper in an environmentally friendly way ‘from start to finish.

Background: The effects of deforestation and soil erosion are particularly devastating in Tanzania as farming and agriculture are vital for many local people who rely on subsistence farming to survive and feed their families.
