Organization: Micro Carbon Operation
Details: The Climate Group’s Micro Carbon Operation is partnering with Splendid Fashion to give the leftover fabrics a new life. In the coming“Fabric Up-cycling” experiential workshop, participants are going to make their very own tote bags from leftover cloth, with guidance from experienced sewing workers.
Splendid Fashion is a local social enterprise run by a group of ex-textile industry practitioners, with many of them having over 30 years’ experience. It is their goal to pass on their skill sets to maintain the momentum of the textile industry in Hong Kong. Apart from taking mass orders from companies and organizations, Splendid Fashion has also launched their own fashion brand “Designed and Made in HK”.
