Organisation: World Vision Hong Kong
Details:
The Used Book Recycling Campaign, organised by World Vision Hong Kong, will be held at Stars Atrium, Plaza Hollywood, Diamond Hill from 26 July to 5 August 2018. It will raise funds for life skills training and child protection projects, to provide better education and welfare to vulnerable children in Yunnan.
According to national statistics, the migrant population of the Yunnan Province is well over 6 million, with its capital Kunming housing most of them. Being less competitive, migrants usually take up junior jobs and leave their children alone. In collaboration with Jiaxin Centre and Xieshou Centre in Kunming, World Vision seeks to meet the needs of vulnerable children who are migrants, left behind or living on the streets by providing life skills training, promoting the habit of reading, improving learning environment and offering training for teachers.
By donating and buying books, you can help us provide quality education and personal development for children in need, which will allow them to untangle existing obstacles and pursue their dreams in the future.
