Read to Feed encourages children aged 3-14 to read while collecting sponsorship from parents, friends and relatives based on the number of books read, units of time read or a single donation. Funds collected will be pooled to help the impoverished families in rural China become self-reliant through gifts of livestock and training. Ultimately, the program will foster in children a love of reading, a passion to help others and a desire to create a better world!
Donations this year will be designated to assist 1,200 poor families in Wadu Township of Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province to improve their livelihoods sustainably.
