Drink for Good is a fundraising initiative taking place in Hong Kong on Thursday 6 October 2016. On that day, local charity HandsOn Hong Kong (HOHK) is partnering with venues in Central, Soho, Sheung Wan, LKF, Wan Chai and Quarry Bay who will donate HK$5 or more to HandsOn Hong Kong for each drink purchased that day. HandsOn Hong Kong will then use the funds raised for children with special needs, and for other programs addressing pressing social needs in Hong Kong.
Drink For Good is now in its fouth year and your participation will make it even better than ever! Drink For Good first took place in 2013, with over HK$100,000 raised in one night with the support of 64 venues and 50 corporate sponsors. The funds raised enabled HOHK to take 100 disabled children to the Ocean Park theme park, accompanied by HOHK caring volunteers. In 2014, HOHK raised funds to make wishes come true for 500 children with special needs. Just over HK$100,000 was raised thanks to the participation of 83 venues and 45 corporate sponsors. In 2015, HOHK raised over HK$130,000 with the support of 71 venues and 27 corporate sponsors, which enable HOHK to develop 70 programs making wishes come true for more than 800 children with special needs.
