“Food Angel” Food Assistance Program

Bo Charity Foundation in 2011 launched its first food assistance program called “Food Angel”; the purpose is to help fight against hunger and food waste. The program collects surplus food from major hotels, restaurants and the food producers. With a bit of love, together with a strict set of food safety protocols, the donated food are reheated and prepared into delicious individual meal- boxes. The meal- boxes are then distributed to the people who are struggling with poverty and hunger. Currently the beneficiaries are service users from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ (TWGHs) Integrated Centers, the Salvation Army’s Community Center, and Home of Love.
