Ed Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer who has distributed three solo albums and received acclaimed success & recognition since 2010s. Meanwhile, he also has achieved untold global fame and helped for charity and was recently appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to music and charity.
Sheeran continusosly supported charity gigs/ campaigns, e.g. a gig in Bristol, which raised £40,000 for a charity that reaches out to street sex workers. In 2014, Sheeran joined the charity supergroup Band Aid 30 along with other British and Irish pop acts, recording the latest version of the track “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” to raise money for the Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa. In 2015, Sheeran supported the No Cold Homes campaign by the UK charity, Turn2us. In 2016, he was recognised by the University of Suffolk for his outstanding contribution to music and has auctioned off several items of clothing for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). H&M and Global Citizen team up to launch an exclusive t-shirt designed by Coldplay and Ed Sheeran in support of the movement to end inequality, ensure environmental stability and to end extreme poverty by 2030.
