Abstract:
Barbara Chan was a former TVB actress, renowned in 1980s, and later redirect her career from the entertainment industry to family education.

In 2006, Chan’s youngest son died after struggling with leukaemia for three years, she has experienced the happiness and sadness of being a parent. Later in 2008, Chan’s and her husband Kai-Chi Liu has started their NGO – Parenting Forum, which aims to promote family education, to grow the awareness of lifelong learning among parents, to provide lectures and training to enhance parents’ understanding of family harmony and to build parenting skills. It is also a platform which allows the parents to support, share and learn from each another.
