Ariana Grande is an American singer and actress who debuted in a Broadway musical in 2008. Besides her appearance on stage and television shows, Grande released her first solo album in 2013 and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
Grande started her charitable acts at ten, she co-founded the South Florida youth singing group Kids Who Care, which performed for charitable fundraising events. In 2009, as a member of the charitable organization Broadway, Grande taught music and dance to children in South Africa along with her brother.
Additionally, Grande promotes pet adoption and has adopted several rescue dogs as pets herself.
Grande also supports LGBT rights actively. She first abandoned Catholicism because she thinks that the Church is intolerant towards homosexuals. In May 2015, she performed with Miley Cyrus to raise awareness for Cyrus’s Happy Hippie Foundation, which helps homeless and LGBT youths. She also headlined in a LGBT Pride Week event in June 2015.
