Abstract:
Dr Allan Zeman, GBM, GBS, JP. After spending more than 40 years in Hong Kong, Dr Zeman has established many business interests in Hong Kong and overseas, ranging from property development, entertainment to public relations. Dr Zeman is the Chairman of Ocean Park, a major theme park in Hong Kong, and also the Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Holdings Limited, the major ultimate property owner and developer in Lan Kwai Fong, one of Hong Kong’s most popular tourist destinations.
In addition to his many business interests, Dr Zeman contributes much of his time to public service in Hong Kong: Member of Food Business Task Force for Business Facilitation Advisory Committee, Member of Commission on Strategic Development to serve on Economic Development and Economic Cooperation with Mainland, Board Member of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA).
Dr Zeman was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal (GBM) by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong in 2011 in recognition of his distinguished public and community service, particularly his significant contribution to the tourism industry and cultural development. He was previously awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) and appointed as Justice of the Peace in 2004 and 2001 respectively.
