“Paint the Town Purple” for Epilepsy Awareness Campaign 2017 26th March is recognized worldwide as “Purple Day” dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness. Therefore, every year “Paint the Town Purple” is one of the most significant event held, where Hong Kong public are encouraged to get involved in eliminating misconceptions about epilepsy, providing an accurate and positive perspectives on the condition and promoting safe first aid practice to help those affected by a seizure.

Enlighten – Action for Epilepsy invite public to wear purple on the globally epilepsy awareness day and encourage others to do the same. For example, wearing purple accessories and ribbons, dressing in purple, having purple shoe laces, or going all out and dying your hair!
Event : The Hong Kong Observation Wheel “Goes Purple”
Date : 26th March 2017
It is the second year for the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, new Central landmark to support Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy by “going purple” on March 26th 2017 to build epilepsy awareness of this condition that affects almost 1 in every 110 people in this city.
